The Volvo XC90 is a 4x4 sports utility vehicle that is the high-end, 'flagship' model of carmaker Volvo.

Series 2

Oliver Leek owned a black XC90, his Volvo was a 2007 Volvo XC90 4.4 V8 SE Lux.

As part of the Anomaly Research Centre, Leek drove to Blue Sky Park to get an update on how the main team was dealing with an incursion. Later on, as part of his own organisation, he drove to an abandoned dock, where Caroline Steel got into the Volvo and they talked about her operation. (Episode 2.3) In an underground carpark, Helen Cutter met Leek in his Volvo. Via a videolink, Leek talked with the Cleaner, then Helen questioned Leek's reliability before exiting to car. (Episode 2.4)

Sometime later, elsewhere, Leek was sitting in his Volvo as he hacked in to the Anomaly Detection Device using a laptop. He then drove three mercenaries and their creature capturing equipment to an Anomaly site in Hackney. When the main ARC team arrived, Leek drove away, leaving the mercenaries behind. (Episode 2.5) After Leek revealed himself at the traitor in the ARC, he drove his Volvo to an abandoned industrial area, and met Caroline there. (Episode 2.6)

Episode 2.7

After Stephen Hart's funeral, an unknown amount of ARC personnel followed the main team out to a new Anomaly alert, driving in a Volvo, identical to Oliver Leek's one.

Series 3

At some point, the Anomaly Research Centre purchased several silver XC90s, these were 2007 Volvo XC90 D5 SE. They were used to travel to Anomaly sites and back to the ARC. Jenny Lewis and the Special Forces Soldiers mainly drove them, while the main team continued to drive their preferred Toyota Hiluxes. Jenny's Volvo was at one point broken into by journalist Mick Harper, who smashed the driver-side window and stole a handheld detector from the vehicle.

Between Series 3 and Series 4

After a four month temporary closure, the ARC stopped using their Volvos and Toyotas and purchased black Mitsubishi L-200. It is unknown what happened with the Volvos.
