This Anomaly was the first ever anomaly to be detected by the Anomaly Detection Device, at the end of Episode 2.3. This anomaly was not the anomaly the Mer came through in Episode 2.4. This anomaly therefore led to an unknown era. Nothing is known about this anomaly or what, if anything, came through. It is one of many anomalies that have unknown creatures to come through.

It is unknown why Cutter and Conner left to deal with the anomaly before checking the exact coordinates of it as they continue to do throughout the show. Perhaps it was a producers mistake.
