When will they find another network to pick Primeval: New World up for a second season? next year? 2015-2016 season?
Bring Back Primeval: New World!
would love to see it get picked up elsewhere, but I'm guessing there has been too much time off and the writers/actors and everyone else have disbursed.
It never ceases to amaze me, and unfortunately not in a good way, to read video and book reviews, only to find that the so called expert reviewers (a.k.a. critics), and perhaps even more disappointingly the fans (if under said circumstances they even qualify as fans), make like a story requires mind blowing entertainment value from within the first five minutes to the last minute regardless of length? I mean come on, you do realise there's a detailed and structured process to creating the symantics and experience you obtain from reading and/or watching shows, movies and books, whichever the case(s) may be; right?
I read many of the above comments and wonder if the responsible contributors are actually as idiosyncratic and hedonistic about the world as the meaning perused from what's written in between the lines of their contributions: are people really stupid enough to believe that their own likes, and only that specific mixture, is representative of all society's desires, ergo their likes and dislikes? Its refreshing that some do take wholistic approaches and pay credit where its due without necessarily needing to always temper it with one's own dislikes. I mean, as far as I can tell, the greater majority of negative contributions you read all over the world-wide-web, say more about the contributors than they do the intended material(s) for which they were written.
Try to take a step back and remember the purpose of reviews, among other things, is to help others make educated decisions on what's to like and dislike, constructively, about the material in question. Using profanity and making comments like "this show is shit" really has no place being present. Making helpful comments like those above examples which offer the locations for info'n presented is exactly what's helpful, regardless of whether that particular sentiment turnsnout to be positive, neutral or negative. Lets face it, most of us scan reviews for their validity and helpfulness, most skating right past the ones which begin with F bombs and s#*t words - so as a contributor you're only wasting the time it took for you to place the review and contributing to the poor opinion of fan sentiments by producers of our entertainment. If you really want to make a difference in the production, or cessation, of a show then literate why you think the material was good, bad or otherwise.
On a final note, I happen to think the New World version of Primeval was a definite step up from the directions and production of its predecessor, the UK version - especially when looking at the changes in the first version which took place when professor Nick Cutter was killed by his supposed missing wife Helen: that is, if memory serves me correctly, from the end of season 2 to earlier episodes of season 3. Certainly I was one who purchased the complete series boxset. Unfortunately the changes saw that it took me about three times as long to devour the second half of the UK version than it did the first half, which I did so enthusiastically.
From one fan and part-time review contributor who thinks we can have more sway regardless of the context by which we contribute if we do so in an informed and educated manner, to those who contribute to the discarding of fan reviews by fans and producers, I bid you addue.

LillyAngel86 it is good to meet another Primeval fan, do you visit this wiki often?
The ARC Minister, I still love primeval, I have all the seasons from series 1-5 on DVD, although the frustrating cliff hanger on series 5 should've made them at least produce a season 6 to make sense of it. Just finished watching primeval new world and they shouldn't have cancelled that either, although the first half of the season was slow, but it really picked up in the second season.
Grimeval; I think the slow first half and the season break of Primeval: New World is what killed that series. But the charactersand some of the episodes were kind of boring and not engaging.
Yes, I also still love Primeval to this day. Though Series 3-5 were not exactly to my tastes, I still love anyway.
If I had an anomaly of my own, I would send myself from different times of my life and put them in several TVs around the world to increase the ratings so the show would get a second season, we'd be at a 5th season if it wasn't for the cancellation.
