The Neural Clamp is a cylindrical device from the future, which is surgically implanted into a creature's skull and overrides its instincts; allowing the Neural Clamp's user to control the creature.
History
Edit
The Neural Clamps were created in the future by humanity. (Episode 2.7)
Helen Cutter travelled to the future and retrieved the technology from a future time period for Oliver Leek. They were attached to the heads of Leek's captive Future Predators so that he could control them. They weren't used on any of the other creatures he had in his army. (Episode 2.6) The clamp was surgically planted into the skull of the Predator and operated by remote radio signals. Removal of the clamp caused quick death due to brain damage, as shown when Cutter ripped a Clamp off a Predator's head.

Added by RichardElderWhile Leek was threatening Lester, warning that he'd have the Future Predators kill Cutter, Cutter deactivated the Neural Clamps by inserting one in a circuit box. The electrical charge short-circuited the device, deactivating them all and freeing the Predators from Leek's control. (Episode 2.7)
Trivia
Edit
- As the Neural Clamp and the Future Predator are both from the future, and the Future Predators in Leek's Creature Prison were the only creatures wearing the Clamps, it is possible that the Neural Clamp are fitted to only work on Future Predators.
