Sprat was Taylor Craig's female dog (of an unidentified Terrier breed), who lives with her and Steve in Hackney.

When Sprat needed to urinate, Taylor took her out for a walk, and Sprat ran to a worksite followed by Taylor. There, Sprat ran through an Anomaly into the Silurian. Sprat was attacked there by Silurian Scorpions, but was ultimately able to escape back through the Anomaly to the present. She was immediately found by Nick Cutter and Jenny Lewis, and Jenny returned her to Steve. Later Taylor returned and reunited with Sprat.
