Infoboxes are meant to show a small amount of key information about an article's subject. Since an infobox is an important part of a good article and is one of the first things a reader will look at, they need to be at the top of the article.

To make an infobox, you need the info. Otherwise, it'll just be a box. Here at the Anomaly Research Centre, we have a comprehensive guide on how to make a good infobox.

Requirements for a good infobox[]

  • A good image. The minimum width of an image in an infobox is 270 pixels and the maximum width is 310 pixels. Since most viewers will only look at the infobox image at thumbnail size, a small image would be preferred over a large image.
  • An infobox should have at least three sections filled in.
