Ammut was the Ancient Egyptian godess of the underworld. They believed if you
were bad throughout your life it would eat out your heart. When a Pristichampsus came through an anomaly to Ancient Egypt, it inspired the creature of Ammut and they worshipped it as a god.

The resemblance of Ammut and Pristichampsus is keen and at first sight believable. In some images, Ammut was partly Hippopotamus, and Pristichampsus doesn't really have any Hippopotamus like features, and in another has the body of a lion. In the picture of the Sun Cage, his tail was entalled to make more realistic the resemblance.
